Do You Sudoku?

I've jumped on the Sudoku bandwagon recently and have not looked back since. Is it addictive, maybe. Is it fun, so-so. Is it challenging, most of the times yes. The reason why I'm into it now is so I can let my brain focus on something else other than the daily routine stuff that I'm going through.

It's actually quite easy and there's only one rule to it. Fill in the grid so that every row, every column and every 3x3 box contains the digits 1 through 9. Each row, column, and region must contain only one instance of each numeral. Completing the puzzle definitely requires patience and logical ability. I had initially thought that some math was involved and wasn't interested in frying my brains by trying to figure out the solution even for one box let alone NINE! However, when I finally got to trying it out (due to boredom), I got stuck ever since.

In the beginning, it was quite difficult. Maybe the puzzles at the time were more difficult but I just had to crack my head so much it hurt so bad! Nowadays though, it's more of a breeze. However, sometimes I get so confused due to the pencil markings I make for the possibilities for each square, I have to erase them and figure them out again. Everytime I start to see stars or my head starts to hurt, I continue reading the newspaper and come back later. It's getting easier by the day anyways (due to practice I suppose).

I know people compete for the best times and all but I'm not going for that (yet). I'm doing this for just for leisure. Of course I cannot rule out the possibility of the competitive side of me walking down that path in the future but for the time-being and the foreseeable future, it's going to be just for fun. I only limit myself to one puzzle a day (the one found in the papers) but if that's not enough, I can always go here for more puzzles.

So, do you Sudoku? You should give it a try! :)
